Thunderbirds are Go!

Somerset Birdwatching Holidays has had the very exciting new arrival of ‘Thunderbird 1’.

‘Thunderbird 1’ is a most comfortable 9 seater Vivaro van which has been decorated with our stylish egret logo. Do look out for it around the top birding spots of Somerset.

The Vauxhall salesman when he spotted the wording ‘Thunderbird 1’ on the rear of the van was happy to offer his services should we ever require Thunderbird 2, 3 and 4. They never miss a trick.

Stephen is just back from a very busy Birdfair at Rutland, where several of our clients came up to say hello after his packed and well received talk on the Birds of Somerset. We received several bookings with particular interest in our Starling Spectacular breaks this winter.

Sadly Graeme missed Birdfair due to a diary mix-up, so he had to endure two weeks of rain in the Western Highlands instead. This was made slightly more enjoyable by good views of White-tailed Eagle, Manx Shearwater and Spotted Flycatcher.

We are now gearing ourselves up for a good passage of autumn migrants with the first wheatears passing through our coastal patch a couple of weeks ago.

Do get in touch soon if you are considering one of our Starling Spectacular breaks this winter as places are filling up.

We are sure to have some ‘FAB’ birding adventures from the new van.
