Starlings are coming..

Driving cross-country from Taunton to Wells late yesterday afternoon I saw my first large gathering of starlings heading for the Avalon Marshes around dusk. Not quite the biblical murmurations that we enjoy mid winter, however it’s a start, and reassuring that the world is still turning.

Hopefully we will have scenes like this to look forward to.
